Santa's Fire Truck Ride Is Back On In Spring City, E. Vincent

Great news: the local fire department's Santa tour around town is back on for 2019.

SPRING CITY, PA — Fire Claus is back.

In a positive update to a previous story, Santa Claus will once again ride the fire truck around Spring City and East Vincent neighborhoods this holiday season.

Officials with the Liberty Fire Co. had originally planned on suspending the popular annual tradition due to declining volunteer manpower. However, a surge in volunteers in response to the news has enabled the fire company to put the event on once again.

"We have received many offers of help as well as support for this event and we really appreciate all the efforts to make this event possible for the children of the community," the fire company said in a statement. "We look forward to seeing you all on Saturday as we make our way around the town to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and hand deliver candy canes to all who want to catch a glimpse of Santa."

Liberty and the Valley Forge Fire Company will hit the roads beginning at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 14.
