SFEF Sponsors Rhythm in Blue Jazz Ensemble
Community invited to hear the musical talents of the U.S. Air Force Rhythm in Blue Jazz Ensemble during March 28 free public concert

ROYERSFORD — Enjoy an entertaining night filled with the musical sounds of the U.S. Air Force Rhythm in Blue Jazz Ensemble at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, as the group performs some of its favorite tunes for the community. Sponsored by the Spring-Ford Educational Foundation, the free concert is open to the public and will take place in the auditorium at the , located at 400 S. Lewis Road in Royersford.
Part of the United States Air Force Heritage of America Band, the Rhythm in Blue Jazz Ensemble features the diverse talents of 15 professional musicians, whose commitment to excellence has earned worldwide acclaim and military distinction. The band incorporates a wide repertoire of jazz and fusion, from big band swing to cutting-edge contemporary music. Their fabulous vocalist radiates sounds of the great jazz divas and inspires with patriotic classics.

Activated in 1941, the United States Air Force Heritage of America Band has a rich history of inspiring public patriotism and enhancing pride among all the U.S. military service branches. These world-class musicians come from Joint Base Langley-Eustis in Hampton, Va. They travel more than 30,000 miles each year, performing concerts for the public and providing music for military protocol events throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. Under the leadership of Major Jeffrey B. Warner, the USAF Heritage of America Band remains at the forefront of preserving and enriching America's military and musical heritage in the 21st century.
The Spring-Ford Educational Foundation is a non-profit organization that helps the District provide scholarships, special programs and services for students and the community that might not otherwise be possible.
