Skippack Man Exposes Himself at Spring City Strip Club, Pretends to Be State Trooper: Cops

A Skippack man pretended to be a state trooper after exposing himself at a Spring City strip club Monday, police said.

SPRING CITY, PA -- A Skippack man was arrested early morning after exposing himself at a strip club in Spring City and then later pretending to be a state trooper, according to police.

Steven Clement, 48, allegedly exposed himself to a dancer at the Baby Dolls club, formerly known as Pumptown Tavern, just after 2 a.m. Monday morning, authorities said. Staff kicked Clement out for his behavior.

Clement called police to complain about being kicked out, and told police when they arrived on the scene that he was a state trooper at the Skippack barracks.

Clement was staggering and smelled of alcohol when he was speaking with officers, according to an affidavit of probable cause. Police repeatedly addressed Clement as "trooper," to which he responded. When officers called the Skippack barracks to confirm Clement's identity, no record of him was found.

Clement has been charged with indecent exposure, impersonating a public servant, and disorderly conduct. A preliminary hearing is forthcoming.
