Speed Limit Reduced On Royersford Near Limerick Township Line

ROYERSFORD, PA -- Watch your speed. The speed limit has been reduced from 35 to 25 on Walnut Street near Lewis Road, Royersford police announced Tuesday.

The change was made because it was the only area in the borough where the speed limit was above 25.

Walnut Street used to be the only entry and exit point in the borough, police said,w hen Main Street was a dead end.

There have been a large number of accidents reported in the Walnut Street area, mostly at 9th and Walnut, due to only a two-way stop and limited visibility, according to police.

The change was approved by Royersford Borough Council.
