Girls Soccer (home) def. Methacton H.S., 4-0
"The Spring-Ford Girls varsity soccer team, with senior goalie Lisa Semetti, shut out Methacton for [its fourth] win in the PAC-10," said head coach Sheldon Chamberlain. "On senior night the seniors did shine. The first half was a draw at 0-0 and then in the second half the Rams scoring opened up with two goals from senior Nikki Lynch and two goals from sophomore Megan Giannoupolis.
"Leading a strong defense to preserve a shutout for S-F was goalie Lisa Semetti with two outstanding saves and the four defenders including KJ Dougherty, Leanne Shaw, Shanna Hill and Maddie Ward. On the attack Megan Giannoupolis was superior as she sprinted and dribbled into open spaces to get behind the defenders and beat the Methacton goalie twice 1v1 to goal. Nikki Lynch scored her first goal with a touch inside the near post from a cross followed by a head ball to the far post."
