Spring City Woman, 95, Known for Her Sense of Humor

Spring City's Lorraine Plumley Filoreto, 95, loved to make people laugh.

SPRING CITY, PA -- Obituary for Lorraine Plumley Filoreto

Lorraine (Quay) Plumley Filoreto, 95, of Spring City, Pennsylvania, formerly of Clearwater and Tarpon Springs, FL, passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2017 in Manatawny Manor. Born on June 8, 1921 in Spring City, she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Elizabeth (Brownback) Quay.

A graduate of the former Spring City High School, Lorraine had been employed as an inspector for Diamond Glass. She had been a member of the First United Church of Christ of Spring City. She enjoyed fill in puzzles, knitting, crotcheting and had a great sense of humor.

Lorriane is survived by her son: Kenneth, husband of Mary Ellen Plumley, of Pottstown, PA; sister: Doris Walters, of Spring City; grandson: Timothy Plumley; and granddaughter: April Gawrys. She was preceded in death by her first husband: Russell Plumley, her second husband: Alfonso Filoreto; and sister: Virginia Slaughter.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at the Cattermole - Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, on Friday, January 6, 2017 at 11:30 am. Officiating will be the Rev. Erick Kern. Interment will follow in the Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, Spring City. Friends will be received from 11:00 am - 11:30 am at the funeral home.
