Spring City Woman Found Dead In Home, Was Badly Beaten: DA
Authorities described "hours of unimaginable and relentless abuse" they said the woman suffered at the hands of her boyfriend.

SPRING CITY, PA — A Spring City woman was found dead inside her home this week after police said she was brutally beaten by her boyfriend, who is now in custody. Murder charges have not been filed against the boyfriend, as the investigation into the woman's exact cause of death remains underway.
Leroy Brahm, 31, faces charges of aggravated assault as investigators piece together exactly what happened inside a Spring City residence on Monday, Dec. 4.
The incident occurred on the 800 block of Buttonwood Avenue. The night previous, Dec. 3, Brahm and his 21-year-old girlfriend, Annabel Meenan, had gone drinking at the Black Horse Tavern in Phoenixville, according to the Chester County District Attorney's Office.

Some point after returning home, Brahm began to beat Meenan, police said. Bloodstains were found around the home, on the kitchen walls, the oven's glass door was shattered, and there was a hole found in the wall, according to the DA.
“The wounds on the victim and other evidence recovered indicate that she experienced hours of unimaginable and relentless abuse at the hands of her boyfriend," DA Deb Ryan said in a statement. "While it is clear the defendant inflicted this vicious beating on her, we are still awaiting confirmation about the exact cause and manner of her death."

When police arrived at the home, they found Meenan lying unconscious on the floor with severe wounds, authorities said. Brahm was there but had made no life-saving attempts, according to the DA.
First responders began CPR and took Meenan to Phoenixville Hospital via Friendship Ambulance. She was pronounced dead at the hospital.
An autopsy was conducted Monday and additional tests will be conducted before a final report is issued, the DA's Office said.
Brahm was booked at Chester County Prison and held on $1 million bail.
