Wrestling Remains Undefeated in PAC-10 with Phoenixville Trouncing
Although there were four forfeits in the PAC-10 matchup between Spring-Ford High School and Phoenixville High School, the Rams were still relentless in getting a 63-11 victory. They are still undefeated as a team at 8-0, and in the PAC-10 (2-0).
"We started out with two wins to start off the season, so it's a good start, but we've got a lot of tough matches down the road," said head coach Tim Seislove. "They've got a first year coach and he's trying to get the program where he wants to do it. The kids he had wrestled well. I think they'll be alright."
The Rams only dropped three of the 10 matches they wrestled, with some first-time varsity starters picking up big wins, including 138-pounder Cody Brown and 160-pounder Dan Dipipi.

"Cody won in overtime and got the takedown," said Seislove. "He hasn't been in the lineup much this year, it was nice to see him get a win. Dipipi's a senior who's been with us for three years. It was nice to see him get a win tonight."
Mason Romano, defensive star in football and 195-pounder in wrestling, dominated in his match, winning by fall in a flash: 40 seconds.

"Mason's an incredibly hard worker," Seislove said. "He went out and did a good job and pinned a kid."
One of the tougher of the three losses was in the 106-pound competition between Spring-Ford's Nick Suero and Phoenixville's Garrett Serwanka. Suero lost by a 2-4 decision, but in the end, almost pulled out the victory.
"They bumped up the weight class to 106 and he's about 100 pounds, so he's giving up about six or seven pounds to some of these kids and it's tough," Seislove said. "He works hard and he's got about five or six wins this year, so hopefully he'll keep getting better."
The boys head to the Cannerville Duals on Friday night and will compete on Saturday.
Boys Basketball Gives Pottsgrove its Second Loss
The boys basketball squad defeated Pottsgrove 64-42 on Thursday night, beating them for the first time in a few years and awarding them their second loss of the season. The Rams are now 5-6 overall and 4-1 in the league.
Girls Basketball Takes it to Pottsgrove
The girls basketball team has been on a tear as of late, and after a 2-1 record at their own holiday tournament, they came back out with a vengeance against Perkiomen Valley. The girls won handily, 77-37, but head coach Jeff Rinehimer wasn't 100-percent happy with the performance.
So, the Lady Rams came out and beat down Pottsgrove on Thursday night, 65-13. The game's stars were Mariah Traywick and Brittany Moore, both scoring 12 points.
