Spring-Ford Intermediate School Puts Finishing Touches on Fused Glass Art Project.
An update from the Arts Alive! Program
The following was sent in to Patch by Robyn Burckhardt, representing Arts Alive!:
Art students from Mrs. [Cheryl] Kramer’s art classes [at ], along with professional artist, Jessica Gorlin Liddell have been working with glass in a very creative fashion. They are creating colorful tiles of glass. Once fired in a kiln the glass fuses together and will be arranged and hung as a permanent collection work. The brightly designed panels will be installed to offer maximum visibility by students, parents and the community.
The students have been guided by a professional Philadelphia-based mosaic artist Jessica Gorlin Liddell. This project will reflect the students’ knowledge of color, shape, line and design.
