Spring-Ford school district statement on student death

Students offered grief counseling

Following is the full text of a statement issued by the Spring-Ford Area School District on Monday afternoon regarding :

The Spring-Ford Area School District community is deeply saddened by the reported death of Spring-Ford High School sophomore Kyle Kulp, who apparently passed away Saturday after a diving incident at the Dutch Springs scuba diving and aqua park in Lower Nazareth Township.

Kyle had recently transferred to Spring-Ford High School from the Daniel Boone School District. He began classes in the high school April 4th. High school personnel made students aware of Kyle's death through a public announcement made early the morning of May 23rd, and offered them grief counseling services through the high school guidance department. Outside grief counselors may also be made available to students, if necessary.

The Spring-Ford Area School District and high school community extends their heartfelt sympathies to Kyle's family at this very difficult time, and will keep Kyle and his friends and family in their thoughts and prayers.
