UPDATE: Shed Destroyed In Spring Hollow Golf Course Fire

The shed was filled with valuable equipment.

SPRING CITY, PA -- A maintenance shed was destroyed in a fire at the Spring Hollow Golf Club on Thursday morning.

Emergency crews responded to the scene at about 6:30 a.m.

Smoke could be seen enveloping an area near the golf course from some distance away.

The Royerford Fire Depatment's Ladder 98 and Friendship Ambulance of Royersford MICU 83 were on the scene as of 10:30 a.m., assisting the Liberty Fire Company of Spring City.

The fire may have been caused by a short circuit in the battery on one of the pieces of equipment, according to the Pottstown Mercury.

Lawn mowers and other vehicles were destroyed in the blaze.

The Club said they hoped to have the shed repaired within a month.

No injuries were reported. 

Spring Hollow is located on 3350 Schuylkill Road.
