Student artists recognized

Spring-Ford High School students took home many awards as part of the the Royersford Women's Club's annual Festival of the Arts.

Several Spring-Ford High School students were honored in May by the Royersford Women's Club for their artistic talents.

High school art teachers were invited to submit the work of their students in the categories of painting, drawing, graphics and jewelry as part of the club's annual Festival of the Arts. First, second and third prize awards were given out to students in each category during a May 11 ceremony.

First-place award winners included Spring-Ford High School students John Robinson (graphics), Samantha Lavan (painting), Theo Kim (drawing) and Laura Johnson (jewelry). Second-place award winners included Brandon Debolt (graphics), Hanna Kratz (jewelry), Janine Linahan (drawing), and Amber Walraven (painting). Third-place award winners included Lisa Johnson (graphics), Phoebe Mikalonis (drawing) and Tak-Yee Ho (painting).
