Team Running to Clean Up Limerick Township Government
Morroney, Cannady, and Painter will bring fiscal responsibility, integrity, and transparency.

Pat Morroney and Oliver Cannady, candidates for Supervisor, and Coleen Brandt Painter, candidate for Auditor, are running for office in Limerick Township in tomorrow’s election. This well-qualified team is running to change the culture of Limerick government, bringing openness and transparency and removing the influence of campaign money from township decision-making.
Pat Morroney, a 21 year resident of Linfield and work planner for PECO Energy, served as Deputy Emergency Coordinator for Limerick Township for six years. He has also been a volunteer firefighter with the Linfield Fire Company for over twenty years, serves as an auxiliary police officer, and is a volunteer Vessel Examiner for the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary. Morroney would bring his long record of volunteerism, and his expertise in emergency management, to the Limerick Board of Supervisors.
Oliver “OC” Cannady, a 15 year resident of Limerick, retired from a major insurance carrier after 34 years of service, where he worked and held management and leadership roles in claims and quality improvement. He also studied applied physics at Harvard College, holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Rochester Institute of Technology, and is a Certified Quality Improvement Process Trainer. Cannady would bring his decades of experience in quality improvement and long-range planning to ensure efficiency and fiscal responsibility in township government.

Both Morroney and Cannady are concerned about the out-of-control development taking place in Limerick Township, which has been exacerbating traffic concerns, eliminating open space, and straining government services and infrastructure. Their desire to push fiscal responsibility and responsible development comes after the current Board of Supervisors raised township property taxes by 65% over four years, and pushed this year’s budget meetings until after the election, potentially indicating a new tax hike on the horizon.
Coleen Brandt Painter, an ordained pastor and chaplain for over 30 years and married to former Limerick Tax Collector and State Representative Mark Painter, is running for Auditor. Together with Morroney and Cannady, Painter hopes to create a culture of openness and transparency in local government. She works as Executive Director of On Track Behavioral Health Services, Inc. and holds a Masters in Business Administration from St. Joseph’s University. Painter also was a community leader behind the creation of Spring Ford School District’s Autistic Support Program and was among the first women to serve as a military chaplain in the US Army Reserve.

Painter is running against Tyler Neafcy, 24, the son of incumbent township supervisor Thomas Neafcy. Tyler Neafcy was appointed to the position of Auditor by the current Board of Supervisors and is running for a full term in this election. Coleen Brandt Painter would bring decades of experience in management, community advocacy, and experience as Auditor, and lacks any familial conflicts of interests.
The team of Morroney, Cannady, and Painter will bring a strong record of experience, community involvement, and integrity. Unlike the current Board of Supervisors, which has accepted over $40,000 in campaign contributions from developers and companies with township contracts, they have refused to accept any money from developers or anyone that does business with the township. This principle will ensure their impartiality when in office and allow them to advocate for ordinary Limerick taxpayers instead of developers and special interests.
