This Week in Rams Sports
A look at the top five matchups in Spring-Ford High School sports this week.

Big, big week for wrestling, as Upper Perkiomen and Owen J. Roberts lick their proverbial chops, waiting to add a few more losses to the Rams' record. Spring-Ford only has one loss all season long, and that came to Biglerville. The girls basketball team has a big rematch on Tuesday night and an intriguing non-league game over the weekend.
This should be a fun week in Rams sports. Here are your top five matchups.
1. Winter Track @ Pottsgrove Throwers Invitational (Tuesday, 3:00 p.m.) - About 13 Spring-Ford throwers will have the opportunity to compete in the Tuesday invitational. At this meet, discus and javelin will also be thrown, which are not normal winter throws. The shot put will also be a competition, and the meet will be held in the great outdoors. Meet ends at sundown, so it shouldn't take up too much time for track and field enthusiasts.

2. Girls Basketball vs. Boyertown (Tuesday, 7:30 p.m.) - After opening up the PAC-10 season with a huge win on the road against Boyertown, who defeated the girls in the championship game last year, the Lady Rams and Lady Bears face off again. This time, the game will take place in Ram Country, and the girls will try to protect their house in this Tuesday night brawl.
3. Wrestling @ Upper Perkiomen (Wednesday, 6:30 p.m.) - Upper Perkiomen has a 10-7 record, but has only recently had a losing streak. The Indians had a strong start in the beginning of the season and should be a tough one for the Rams to defeat.

4. Wrestling vs. Owen J. Roberts (Saturday, 2:00 p.m.) - OJR is the defending PAC-10 champion in wrestling and has a perfect 10-0 record in 2011-12. The Rams have been looking at this one all season long, as they just hit the meat of their schedule. Should be a great Saturday afternoon event.
5. Girls Basketball @ Downingtown East (Saturday, 7:30 p.m.) - Downingtown East has a 9-7 record this year, and have five wins in its league. Spring-Ford has fared well with non-league games, but this should still be a good one to watch.
