This Week in Rams Sports
A look at the top five matchups in Spring-Ford High School sports this week.

It's a windy week in April, and students are still on spring break, but athletics continue. The softball and boys lacrosse teams are the standouts so far this spring - both are undefeated in the PAC-10, and softball has yet to lose a game.
As for the rest of the sports, baseball is coming into its own, with a key victory against Pope John Paul II last week, and girls lacrosse is back over .500. Boys tennis has seen a tough non-league schedule, but picked up two big PAC-10 victories before the break last week. Meanwhile, track continues to improve as heavier competition comes in.
Here's a look at this week's top five matchups in varsity sports:

1. Track & Field vs. Pope John Paul II (Wednesday, 3:15 p.m.) - The girls team suffered its first loss this year against defending league champions Methacton High School. They'll be on the rebound this week against JPII, who has a 3-1 record this season. The boys are still undefeated and should handle the Panthers, who are 0-4 on the boys side.
2. Baseball vs. Upper Perkiomen (Wednesday, 4:00 p.m.) - Baseball is back above .500 after last week's win over JPII. Now they'll face a 4-2 Upper Perkiomen team on their home field. This one could provide the necessary momentum for the rest of a successful season!

3. Boys Tennis vs. Owen J. Roberts (Thursday, 3:30 p.m.) - Tennis will gear up for its weekend invitational with a .500 OJR team. This should help the boys' record in the PAC-10 if the win proves easy.
4. Girls Lacrosse @ Upper Perkiomen (Friday, 3:45 p.m.) - The girls are also back over .500 after last week's Perkiomen Valley victory. They'll come out to face a 2-3 Upper Perk team in hopes of increasing their record overall and in the league.
5. Boys Tennis in the Spring-Ford Invitational (Saturday, 9:00 a.m.) - Three area teams are invited to play in Spring-Ford's invitational tournament. The tournament was originally scheduled for two Saturdays ago, but due to the pending poor weather, was moved to this week. Should be a nice day to get out and watch some tennis. The three teams include: Downingtown East, Manheim Central and Upper Merion
