This Week in Rams Sports
A look at the top five matchups in Spring-Ford High School varsity sports.

Teams are rapidly approaching the post season as we are a week into May. Softball has undeniably had a dominant performance thus far this season. They have 14 wins and only one loss. The boys lacrosse squad has only one loss in the PAC-10. They are 15-3.
Baseball still has a shot at the Final Four, although they dropped two games last week. They're now 10-5. Girls lacrosse continues to dominate, as well, with a 13-4 record. Tennis is just about wrapped up, with district tournaments still pending, and track and field just wrapped up its regular season. The boys finished 8-0, the girls 7-1.
Here's a look at this week's top five matchups in sports:

1. Baseball @ Methacton (Tuesday, 4 p.m.) - In April, Methacton broke a Rams three-game winning streak with a 10-5 victory on Spring-Ford's home field. Now, the Rams, looking for vengeance and a post season appearance, should play Methacton hard on Tuesday night. The Warriors are 13-5. (Note: This game was originally scheduled for Monday night).
2. Softball vs. Methacton (Wednesday, 4 p.m.) - Methacton has given the softball team its only loss of the entire season. This is a big game for the girls. The Warriors have seen more losses and this time, the game is at home for the Spring-Ford squad. It's also Senior Night for the Rams. This should be a special kind of game.

3. Softball @ Boyertown (Thursday, 7 p.m.) - Immediately following their own Senior Night, Boyertown holds theirs against the Rams. This game could be the deciding game for who is the top team in the conference. Look for both teams to come out hard.
4. Boys Tennis in District Doubles (Friday and Saturday, TBA) - District Doubles for boys tennis is this weekend. More information to come.
5. Track & Field in PAC-10 Championship (Friday, 1 p.m., Saturday, 9 a.m.) - The glory of PAC-10s is upon us this weekend. According to head coach Ken DeAngelo, this is the first year in a long time that the team is not battling it out for PAC-10s on the same weekend as prom. This should be an exciting one for all of the Spring-Ford track athletes.
