Thursday Morning Fire In Upper Providence Was Electrical

A fire in the early hours of Thursday morning in Upper Providence was electrical in nature, authorities said.

UPPER PROVIDENCE, PA — A fire in the early hours of Thursday morning in Upper Providence was electrical in nature, authorities said.

The incident occurred at around 2:33 a.m. on the first floor of a home.

Crews entered through the front door and traced the smoke and flames to a burnt surge protector near the wall of the living room.

The fire did not spread and the smoke was ventilated from the home by firefighters.

All crews were clear of the scene by 3:06 a.m.

The Royersford Fire Department and Liberty Fire Department of Spring City responded to the scene.

No injuries were reported.
