Upper Providence Elementary Decorates Library

The "WOW" Factor, presented by staff and students from the Spring-Ford Area School District.

What happens when talent, kindness, and cooperation are mixed together?  You get the “WOW“ factor!  Last fall Mrs. Pflugler and Miss Winkler, the librarian and art teachers for Upper Providence Elementary, decided the library needed some color.  The result was a cooperative effort between the two Upper Providence Elementary teachers, Mrs. Crane (the art teacher), and eight of her talented students.  These dedicated students volunteered their time over the next few months to create art based on classic children’s stories.

On May 8, 2012 Mrs. Crane and her students including Caroline Fazzini, Amanda Vangieri, Savanna Malloy, Emily Maxwell, Sandy Capeci, Catherine Walsh, Phoebe Mikalonis, and Gabby Mikalonis presented the completed paintings to the Upper Providence Elementary library.  That evening the works were on display during the elementary art show.  The most frequently heard comment by parents and students attending the art show was, “WOW.”
