Sgt. Robert Ward suffered a "serious neurological event."

A 40-year veteran of the Upper Providence Police Department fell ill on Tuesday, according to the Limerick Police Department.
Sgt. Robert Ward suffered a “serious neurological event” while preparing for duty, polcie said.
“We ask that you keep this dedicated public servant and his family in your thoughts and prayers,” police said on their Facebook page.
