VIDEO: Angelic Music of the Spring-Ford Choir

A look at a recent performance by the Spring-Ford High School Choir.

choir teacher Yvonne O'Dea and the high school choir performed Grass-Green Pillow on Tuesday night at the Spring-Ford Area School District Board of Education meeting.

Board members praised the choir for an outstanding performance at a concert.

"I went to a concert two weeks ago and listened to this group of students perform," said Board President Tom DiBello. "If I wouldn’t have known they were high school students... I was blown away. Through the leadership of Mrs. O’Dea, it’s amazing what they’ve achieved this year. Some of the selections two weeks ago were just incredible. It was an amazing evening."

The board also recognized students Drew Carr and Kayla Dwyer for their participation in the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association All-State Choir in Lancaster, as well as Jordan Popky for her selection through a video audition and participation in the PA Music Educators Association All-State Vocal Jazz Ensemble in Lancaster.

Superintendent David Goodin wished the entire program luck in the future, especially a key group of individuals.
