Warm Woolies Project Donates 401 Items

Results from this year's Warm Woolies Project at the 5-6 Center.

The Warm Woolies Project, held at the within the Spring-Ford Area School District, commenced this week, tallying results of 401 items donated to those in need. The project, in coordination with Project Outreach, is designed to give warm apparel to less fortunate citizens.

A tree was displayed in the main hallway of the building, where hats, gloves, socks, scarves, etc. were hung on display. Two boxes rested underneath the tree for students to drop off items to be donated.

  • 191 pairs of gloves/mittens
  • 131 hats and hat/scarf/glove combinations
  • 49 pairs of socks
  • 24 scarves
  • 5 baby hats and mittens
  • 1 Jacket size 3T

"Our thanks  to all of those who participated in this project," said 5-6 Center Learning Support Teacher Kathleen Grispon. "Now those in need can have a nice, warm, wooly winter."
