WATCH: 2 Dogs Rescued, Home Damaged After Upper Providence Fire

UPPER PROVIDENCE, PA — Authorities are investigating after two dogs were rescued and a twin home was severely damaged after a weekend blaze in Upper Providence Township.
Fire crews responded to the blaze on Saturday morning, June 3, at around 8:45 a.m., on 6th Avenue in Upper Providence.
Heavy fire was coming from the two-story twin home when crews arrived. Firefighters and police quickly entered and safely rescued the two dogs that were inside, officials said.

After around two and a half hours of work by responders, the blaze was finally quelled.
The Royersford Fire Department, Chester County Station 63, Linfield Fire Company, Limerick Fire Company, Trappe Fire Company, Friendship and Trappe ambulances, and Royersford and Upper Providence police all responded to the scene.

No further injuries were reported.
The Upper Providence Fire Marshal's Office is leading the investigation into the blaze.
