Weekend Fire At Royersford Apartments Investigated

Firefighters battled a blaze at a Royersford apartment building this weekend. Its cause is now under investigation.

ROYERSFORD, PA -- Firefighters battled a blaze at a Royersford apartment building this weekend, and its cause is now under investigation.

The incident occurred on Sunday afternoon at around 4:21 p.m. on 2nd Avenue.

Crews first arriving on the scene found smoke coming from the back of the building.

Responders brought handlines through the front of the building and quickly contained the blaze, which was mostly restricted to a basement bedroom, officials said.

It took about 30 minutes to bring the fire under control. Crews were on the scene until 8:10 p.m.

No injuries were reported.

The Royersford Fire Department and Pennsylvania State Fire Marshal Offices are leading the investigation.

Royersford Fire Department, Liberty Fire Company of Spring City, Linfield, Limerick, Trappe, Jefferson, Friendship Ambulance of Royersford, Trappe Ambulance, and Skippack Fire Company responded to the scene.
