WMCTC Kids Help Benefit Alex's Lemonade Stand

Every year has a State Initiative to help a charity within our community; this year the State Initiative is Alex's Lemonade Stand. From March 5 - 16,  SkillsUSA held their State Initiative for Alex's Lemonade Stand with the help of a competition between the shop/lab areas with  “Money Wars.” The students each had their own container when they first entered the school; they would put pennies into their container to “add” to their total and put silver coins into other shop/lab areas container to sabotage their totals.

Whoever had the highest total at the end of the two weeks would win a Pizza Party. The students/faculty (of course they were involved, too) did an outstanding, awesome, wonderful job with raising money for this wonderful charity. The students/faculty raised $1,630.70. A check will be sent to ALSF (Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation) from WMCTC. Awesome Job Wildcats!

Also, on April 12, SkillsUSA will be holding its annual Spaghetti Dinner in our dining room from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tickets may be purchased ahead of time or you may get them at the door; the cost of a ticket will be $7. From April 18 - 20, select students will participate in the SkillsUSA State Competition in Hershey. Fourteen WMCTC students will be traveling to Hershey to compete in the statewide completion with the other 10 Districts. Good Luck to all WMCTC competitors. Go Wildcats!
