Lehigh Children’s Academy announced the opening of a new early education and childcare center in Lower Macungie. The grand opening and open house for the new facility was Saturday, December 8, 2012. Lehigh Children’s Academy is located at the Yurconic Campus at 5910 Hamilton Boulevard, Allentown, PA 18106. Lehigh Children’s Academy provides high quality, nurturing care and education for young children, ages six weeks to six years, and provides before and after school care for school age children.
Parents and children are invited to tour the 10,500 square foot facility and learn about the educational programs geared toward children from six weeks to 12 years of age. The new facility can accommodate 126 children.

Lehigh Children’s Academy new facility near Trexlertown has state-of-the-art classrooms designed with both learning and fun in mind. The programs cater to the needs of each age group. Parents with children in the infant classroom wanting to check in on their child may even monitor them and their classroom activities throughout the day using the school's secure internet video program.

Central to Lehigh Children’s Academy curriculum is its Creative Curriculum® program. Creative Curriculum® promotes the use of interest areas as a way of providing experiences that promote cognitive, social, physical and language development.
“Lehigh Children’s Academy’s philosophy is that young children learn best by doing,” said Heffner.
“We focus on learning by doing and encourage active thinking, experimenting to find out how things work and learning firsthand about the world. Lehigh Children’s Academy’s goal is to help children become enthusiastic, independent, self-confident, inquisitive learners.”
The Lehigh Children’s Academy environment and curriculum are focused on promoting the acquisition of skills by students through the design and enhancement of learning environments, activities, and routines of children and their families. “Our curriculum adheres to the Pennsylvania Learning Standards for Early Childhood,” said Heffner.
“Each child has their own unique learning style. With this in mind, our classrooms have creatively designed, developmentally appropriate learning centers. Through these intentionally designed play opportunities, your child is provided with information and experiences that encourage them to think and explore their environment.”
