Update: Band Shell Rededication Ceremony Well Attended

The ceremony rededicating Macungie's band shell was full of music and memories. Look for full coverage tomorrow on Lowermacungiepatch.

The rededication celebrated those responsible for bringing it here in the first place, the service it has provided since 1949 and the efforts of the recent refurbishment that have the facility gleaming again.

A list of events follows.

12:30 p.m. - Opening Ceremony,

1 p.m. - Red Hill Band Concert,

2:15 p.m. - Old-fashioned Cake Walk,

3 p.m. - Macungie Band Concert, and

4:15 p.m. - Rededication Ceremony.

Douglas Bolasky, former Macungie Band director, served as master of ceremonies. Judge and former state Representative Douglas Reichley was a speaker for the Rededication.
