Beer Thief Helps Himself, Police Say

Someone enters open garage in Lower Macungie and steals two cases of beer from refrigerator, troopers report.

Apparently, someone thought that an open garage door at a Lower Macungie Township home meant an open invitation to drink the cold beer inside.

Gregory Vincent Brown of the 1700 block of Farmstead Lane reported that he left his garage door open, according to state police at Fogelsville. He found that two cases of beer were missing from the refrigerator inside the garage between 8 and 10:30 p.m. March 22.

Perhaps thinking it impolite to drink and run, the thief simply took the beer to go. No value was given for the loss.
