Envision LV public outreach program tonight!

Envision Lehigh Valley is a public outreach effort designed to engage the citizens of Lehigh County to create a sustainable Lehigh Valley.  More than ever we need to work together to create a shared vision for our community. How can we make the Lehigh Valley more livable, more equitable, and more economically competitive? 

In 2008, a survey of Valley residents was conducted as part of the process to develop our regional comprehensive plan, The Lehigh Valley 2030.  In that survey, Valley residents said they want to: 

• preserve and protect farmland;
• protect our abundant natural assets and recreational open space;
• revitalize our urban centers;
• improve access to quality jobs; and 
• accommodate growth while minimizing traffic congestion

These issues all sound very familiar to us living in LMT. As our population continues to grow it's critically important we have a voice in the regional discussion. I will be attending the 4pm session. I hope our township elected officials take part in this important program.
