Log House, Wescosville
Saturday June 1, 1:30 to 4:30. Old-fashioned fun at the log house in Lower Macungie's Wescosville Park. Free to all.
On Saturday, June 1, the Lower Macungie Township Historical Society will open the Bortz Log House on Hamilton Blvd. in Wescosville during the annual Spring Planting festival. Hours are 1:30 to 4:30.
Youngsters who come will be invited to plant in the newly enlarged kitchen garden, and to play old-fashioned games on the grass.
Our open-hearth cook will be demonstrating colonial-era cooking techniques in the log house kitchen and will be doing something special with herbs.

In the pavilion local girl scouts will offer fresh, hand-churned ice cream with local strawberries to visitors.
Our highly skilled cabinetmaker will demonstrate how to make items using traditional hand tools.
