Lower Macungie Garden Club is on the Web

The Lower Macungie Garden Club has a fairly new website that helps members interact between meetings. It also allows club members to access a message board for gardening questions and tips, a monthly calendar and it also provides a place to sign up for field trips and events. It also includes photos of important club events and speakers, and much more.
Non-members can see what we are currently up to, but nobody can access the entire site unless they are a paid member.
Paid members are invited to the website by our Membership Committee chairperson and then given the site password to begin enjoying what the site has to offer.

Many members enjoy using the site because it is easy to navigate. We are still working out some bugs, but that is true with any new venture.
I can't talk about the website without recognizing our wonderful Web-Gardener, Danielle Sixsmith who is also our treasurer. She has worked very hard to put this site together. We call her our Web-Gardener because she maintains the site and tutors members in its navigation and use. Kudos, Danielle for a job well done!

One of our members coined the phrase, "This isn't your mother's garden club" which is so true! We are all about educating ourselves and others to become stewards of our environment and to create natural beauty around us.
Our next meeting is at 1 p.m. May 9 and includes a members-only plant swap and plant auction after. We would love to see you at one of our meetings.
Refreshments are always served and we have a wonderful time. Yearly dues are the most inexpensive in the Lehigh Valley: $12 for a single membership and $18 for a family. You can't beat it for the perks you get.
Come and visit us at the on May 8, too. Club members will give out brochures and free seeds and will be ready to answer any questions you may have.
In my next blog, I'll let you know how things went on the Channel 69 Morning Show on May 3. Until then, happy gardening!
