This Week at the Library: Sign Up for St. Patrick's Day Program

This week at the library... programs and Mango launch party!

I know for some people, a second winter without substantial snow is not the preferred winter, but now that we’re getting into March and having some hints of “warm” weather, I am ready for the season to change! Bring on the warm and the green! I was down in Washington D.C. for the weekend (and could go a long time without having to drive on the Beltway again!) and went to the National Mall area. The famous cherry blossom trees weren’t blooming yet, but it’s only a matter of time!

We have a lot going on this week, so let’s get to it…

This week at the library:

Monday: Space Trek: Astronauts! 6:30pm. Our space themed school year program with the 2nd-3rd  graders, aka the Astronauts. This program for 2nd-3rd  grade happens the second Monday night of every month. Each month, we’ll read some books about that month’s theme, then do an activity or craft. Advanced registration is required.

Tuesday: 4 year old storytimes, 10:30am and 12:30pm. Advanced registration is required for storytimes, as there’s a limit to how many kids I can fit into the program room, plus advanced registration helps me prepare for the right number of kids… not ending up “short” or wasting craft supplies when people don’t show, and there’s an age cutoff date of 9/12 based on the East Penn School District. Contact us if you’re interested in signing up.

Mango Day, 1pm-3pm. We’ll be hosting our Mango Kick-off to celebrate the newly acquired Mango Languages resource. Mango Languages makes learning a new language easy and fun! It's free for all library patrons, and offers a fast and convenient solution for our community’s increasing language-learning needs. One lucky winner will win a great basket of goodies.  We’ll have refreshments (including some Mango Rita's, thanks to the Rita's on 100!), and we’ll show you how you can set up and access Mango. Stop by and say hello!

Saturday: St. Patrick’s Day program; 10:30am. Children in grades K-5 can come hear some stories and do a craft to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.  Advanced registration required.

If you have any questions on programs or the library in general, please stop in, call or visit our website!
