As for in-library programs…
This week at the library:
Tuesdays: 4 year old storytimes, 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Advanced registration is required for storytimes, as there’s a limit to how many kids I can fit into the program room, plus advanced registration helps me prepare for the right number of kids… not ending up “short” or wasting craft supplies when people don’t show, and there’s an age cutoff date of 9/12 based on the East Penn School District
Wednesday: 3 year old storytimes, 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Again, advanced registration is required for storytimes, for the same reasons as above.
Intro to Computer Basics, Level 1; 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Learn the basics of using a computer, both its external and internal parts, using a mouse, and basic windows operation. Advanced registration and a $5 class fee are required.
Thursday: 2 year old storytimes, 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Again, advanced registration is required for storytimes, for the same reasons as above.
Intro to Microsoft Word 2010, 5-7 p.m. Learn the basic skills to understand and use Word 2010, which is the word processing program that makes documents easier to create, share, and read. Advanced registration and a $5 class fee are required.
AARP Tax-Aide, 1pm-5pm. First-come, first serve. Free tax help! For taxpayers with low and moderate-income, with special attention to those age 60 and older. For more information, call AARP at 1-888-227-7669.

Saturday: Ancestry Library Edition, Part 1 (formerly “Genealogy Basics”);10 a.m. to noon. Learn genealogy basis while researching your family tree history using these international databases and other online resources. Part 1 is a prerequisite to take the Part 2 class. Advanced registration and a $5 class fee are required.
Finally, this is the last full week before taxes! We still have forms out on the tables and the AARP accountants will be in one final Thursday. Please note, their appointment schedule is full, however, you can stop in 1-5pm and try to get a walk-in spot if your returns are simple. Just no guarantees they’ll have time.
And as always, if you have any questions on programs or the library in general, please stop in, call or visit our website!
