This Week at the Library: Summer Reading for All!

Nothing but Summer this week at the library! Find out about the start of both the Youth and Adult Summer Reading programs, as well as the Friends' "Books for the Beach" paperback sale!

Hope all the dads had a great Father’s Day! And that it was just as busy or relaxing as you wanted it to be! But there’s no option about busy or not at the library for the next 8 weeks!

It’s finally here: Summer Reading! There is so much going on for ALL ages. I probably won’t be able to go into specific details, but stop in, check out the website or call for more information.

Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, stop in to check out the Friends’ paperback book sale… Books for the Beach! Find some nice (cheap!) summer reads for the beach, vacation, stay-cation or whatever you plan on doing this summer! This sale is located in the library, not at the Book Nook.

Monday marks the Kickoff of both the Adult Reading program and the Kickoff Event for the Youth Summer Reading program (signups are already out!) Stop in and sign up for the Adult Summer Reading Club, and the first 50 participants get a great goody bag! Fill out a raffle ticket whenever you read a book and each week, we’ll pick a winner for a Merchant of the Week prize! There are also some programs for adults.

At the Youth Kickoff Event, we’ll have Rita’s thanks to the nice people
at Ai Orthodontics, bookmarks for free kids meals at and Boston’s, Crayola giveaways… and a raffle for kids who come dressed up as whatever they want to be when they grow up! We also got a late addition to the prize giveaways from for the youngest kids! So come dressed up… and see what crazy thing Miss Erin dresses up as! We’ll start at 6:30 with the stories and activity, but the will arrive and our greeters will let you in starting at 6, so come anytime between then!
