Join Wildlands Conservancy for a Leaf Peeping & Tree ID Hike and experience the brilliant colors of fall while learning to identify native trees. Discover why leaves change color, explore seasonal changes in the forest, and enjoy one of autumn's most cherished outdoor traditions.
Along the way, we'll discuss the science behind fall foliage, why leaves change color, and the important role trees play in our local ecosystem. Whether you're a nature enthusiast, aspiring naturalist, or simply looking for a relaxing way to enjoy the season, this program offers something for everyone.
Participants should wear comfortable walking shoes and dress for the weather. All experience levels are welcome.
Terrain: Easy to moderate on dirt. Path may be rocky, rooty, muddy, or wet. Please come prepared.
What to Bring: Water, comfortable footwear, and your curiosity about the natural world!
