The Artwork Studio Academy

Academy offers ages (5 - adult) Year round studio art
classes, workshops and summer arts programs.

Using age appropriate discretion, Academy’s method of
teaching art focuses on self-confidence, skill development, training the artistic eye, and cultivating a creative voice.

 In our art classes, the focus is in the process, the fun, the serenity, and the gratification of creating art.

The finished product is the footprint and testimony of
the effort exerted.

 STUDIO ART SUMMER ART PROGRAM 2012

 Drawing

(3rd grade and up) 2 hrs, Once a week, for 5 weeks

 Concise step-by-step approach to learning basics "right-brain" techniques, classical realism, and loose free style or anywhere in between. Learn to Sketch, see, and use the elements of line, tone, color, and texture.

 Painting

 Painting 1(3rd 4th & 5thgrade) painting 2 (middle school)

2 hrs, Once a week, for 5 weeks

Discover your artistic talent!  Create a spectacular “masterpiece painting” from beginning to completion.

Explore and integrate essential painting techniques used by the Masters to create depth and space in your painting.

Understand color theory mixing of colors and Brush stroke techniques and artistic paint application to the canvas.

Architecture                    

Step-by-step instructions designing and drawing architectural plans, and building architectural models.  Students will use perspective, scaling, and drafting equipment such as T-squares, triangles, and other architectural tools.

Sculpture

Sculpture 1(3rd 4th and 5th grade)     sculpture 2 (middle school)

2 hrs, Once a week, for 5 weeks

In a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere, create with clay, polymers, modulate media or paper Mache a realistic, or imaginary sculpture

Learn how to construct, shape, combine, mold, hand-build, slab, coil, pinch texture, paint and glaze sculpturally.

 JR. Studio Art 

(Kinder) 75 mins., Once a week, for 5 weeks

Explore fun hands–on projects filled with imaginative experiences, involving painting, drawing, and sculpting.

Your child will develop important school readiness skills such as fine motor skills, cognitive skills.

Enhance the ability to listen, follow directions and build strong positive self - esteem.

 Studio Art I 

(1st grade -2nd grade) 2 hrs, Once a week, for 5 weeks

Have fun experimenting with a variety of multi-media and make your own masterpiece artwork painting, sculpting and drawing.

Discover new ways to express your inventive ideas artistically.

Explore line, color, form and perspective as you build confidence developing your own special vision.

High school studio Art, Honors prep, Honors Art, and advance placement Art     

once a week, 2hrs+

Explore composition, interpretation and the fundamentals of drawing, Painting, and sculpture while exploring techniques of Master artist.

The emphasis is on conceptual and expressive application of different Media.

Students will develop as far and in depth as personally desired from hobby to Advance Placement Art
