
Positive trends in the Lehigh Valley housing market continued to remain strong during the month of October 2013. Pending sales (sales under contract that have not yet closed), increased 37.7 percent over last year at the same time, according to the Lehigh Valley Association of Realtors (LVAR) latest report.
The number of closed sales this October increased 16.7 percent compared to October 2012. Year-to-date comparisons show steady growth as closed sales were recorded at an increase of 15.8 percent from 2012. The median sales price increased 2.7 percent from $168,000 in October 2012 to $172,500 the same time this year.
