Pair Hurt in 2-Vehicle Crash, Police Say
SUV stopped at stop sign but pulled out in front of car, causing Lower Macungie accident, troopers report.

Two people from Kutztown were injured recently in a two-vehicle accident in Lower Macungie Township, according to police.
The crash occurred when a Chevrolet Blazer driven by Tricia D. McDonald, 20, of Allentown pulled out in front of the car driven by the Kutztown man about 4:30 p.m. March 5, according to state police at Fogelsville. McDonald stopped at a stop sign at N. Hedgerow Drive, then turned left onto Kressler Road.
The Subaru XT driven south on Kressler Road by William C. Pitman, 43, could not avoid striking the left front side of McDonald's sport-utility vehicle with his front end, police said. The two vehicles came to rest in the intersection.

Pitman received an injury of unknown severity, police said. Passenger Christopher A. Pitman, 13, was slightly hurt. Both were transported to a hospital.
McDonald reportedly was unhurt.

Pitman's vehicle was towed from the intersection, police said. McDonald was able to drive hers.
McDonald was cited for failing to yield at a stop sign, police said.
Macungie Ambulance Corps and Lower Macungie Fire Department assisted state police.
