Teen on Scooter Hurt Driving Between Cars, Police Say

13-year-old was treated at the scene in Lower Macungie Township, troopers report.

A 13-year-old Macungie-area boy was slightly hurt recently when he rode his scooter between vehicles and struck the side of one in Lower Macungie Township, police said.

Several vehicles were stopped on Willow Lane between Route 100 and Sequoia Drive, according to state police at Fogelsville. The boy was crossing the travel lanes of Willow Lane at 4:17 p.m. April 15.

As the teen worked his way between the stopped vehicles, he ran into the side of the Toyota Carolla driven by Barry Geist, 66, of Macungie, police said.

The boy received minor injuries, police said. He was treated at the scene by Macungie Ambulance Corps, but did not require transport to a hospital.

No one was cited in the accident.
