Sections of Mill Creek Road to be Closed Aug. 6, 7
PPL got permission from Lower Macungie Township commissioners to close one section of Mill Creek Road Aug. 6 and another Aug. 7.
Lower Macungie Township commissioners gave PPL permission to close two sections of Mill Creek Road over Aug. 6 and 7 to rebuild a transmission line.
-- On Aug. 6, Mill Creek will be closed from Route 100 to Pioneer Drive.
-- On Aug. 7, Mill Creek will be closed from Pioneer Drive to Penn Ave.

Kyle Swartzentruber of PPL told township commissioners that the closings were necessary to rebuild a transmission line that transmit power to Mack Truck's plant as well as Victaulic Co. The closings will run from 7 a.m-3 p.m. both days and traffic will be detoured.
