Surveying Gear Stolen While in Use on Job Site, Police Say

Worker was in the midst of a surveying job in Lower Macungie and found his equipment missing, troopers report.

A worker for the Pidcock Company of Allentown was interrupted from his duties recently by the on-the-job theft of his surveying GPS unit and tripod, according to state police at Fogelsville.

Police did not name the worker, but said that the yellow unit and tripod were taken while they were in use about 1:45 p.m. April 2. The work site was at Spring Creek and Ruth roads in Lower Macungie Township.

No value was offered for the loss.
