We hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and holiday weekend with family and friends! Can you believe it’s December?
December at the library is a traditionally slower month. Many of you are busy with preparing for/enjoying the holidays, so there are fewer programs. It’s also the time of year that I pull out the Summer Reading binder I receive in the late Fall and start planning for Summer Reading! Yes, SUMMER reading! (For those of you curious, Summer 2014’s theme is “Fizz! Boom! Read!”… and we’ll be doing fun things like dropping Mentos in Diet Coke when summer hits!) But there are still some opportunities to come out this week, and of course, there are always materials to check out!
This week’s special events are the final in our America’s Music series, Mamba and Hip Hop, film and performance by Hispanic American League of Artists at the Banana Factory, and our annual favorite… Santa’s visit to LML! He’ll stop by with a small treat for the kids! So check out details of those programs and more happening this week.
