I’ve definitely had that “summer’s gone so fast, yet some days seem so slow” feeling this summer! Either way it’s crazy to think this is Week 6 and the final week of full programming before next week’s finale event!
Before I get to this week, tying up from last week… our library gnome was named… *drumroll*

You’ve got two more weeks to find Library the Library Gnome and win a shot at the raffle prize. Our soon-to-be Kindergarten patron Aundria gets to take Library home at the end of the summer for coming up with the winning name! Congratulations, Aundria!

This week at the library:
Monday: Bedtime Stories; 6:30pm. Come here some bedtime stories! All ages. We suggest bringing a blanket, wearing your PJs and maybe bringing a stuffed animal ;) We’ll provide cookies and milk :)
Tuesday: Core; 10am. The weekly program for children entering K-1st in the Fall. Advanced registration is required.
Underground; 12pm. The weekly program for children entering 2nd- 3rd in the Fall. Advanced registration is required.
Subterrane; 2pm. The weekly program for children entering 4-7th grade in the Fall. Advanced registration is required.
Wednesday: iDig Storytimes; 10:30 and 12:30. Drop-by storytimes for kids who were 2-5 as of last September. No registration required.
Remembering Summertime; 6:30pm. We’ll be Remembering Summertime with a multimedia kit from Bi-Folkal Productions. Watch a montage of summer sights and sounds; join in a sing-along; listen to some summer-themed stories; scratch and sniff some scents of summer. Light refreshments will be served.
Friday: Baby Lapsit, 9:30am, a “beginner storytime”/introduction to the library for children who were 11 months old or younger as of 9/12/12; advanced registration required.
Ones Storytime, 10:30am; a “beginner storytime”/introduction to the library for children who were between 12-23 months as of 9/12/12; advanced registration required.
Saturday: Mr. PotatoHead Storytime, 10:00am; Ages 2-6. Come hear some stories about one of our favorite childhood toys, then we’ll do a craft! Advanced registration required for craft.
As I mentioned, our summer reading finale is next Monday! Barnone Weddings & Entertainment is providing the music, Haffener and Associates, CPAs are providing the Rita’s! We’ve contacted the people who will receive the free pool passes, so if you got an email or phone call, please stop by the Circulation Desk to get your passes for August 5th. If you received a call and no longer need your passes, please let us know so we can pass them on to someone who could use them!
