We have started our new America’s Music series! Over the next few months, LML is hosting “America’s Music: A Film History of Our Popular Music from Blues to Bluegrass to Broadway”, a six-event program series featuring documentary film screenings and scholar-led discussions of twentieth-century American popular music. Its aim is to enlighten audiences about uniquely American musical genres including blues and gospel, Broadway, jazz, bluegrass and country, rock n’ roll, mambo, and hip hop. The first event we had just over a week ago went extremely well, so join in if you haven’t yet!
