Tough Stuff at Bear Creek This Weekend
Resort set to host two triathlons that will test the mettle of competitors
Two grueling triathlons will have competitors swimming, biking and rurnning - probably sweating and groaning, as well - at near Macungie this weekend.
The Bald Bear Triathlon will start at 7:30 a.m. Saturday. Participants will swim a quarter of a mile, bike 16.2 miles through Berks County and run 2.2 miles. Organizers say both the bike course and trail run feature some steep climbs.
The X-Terra Dirty Grizzly Triathlon will start at 7:30 a.m. Sunday with a half-mile swim followed by 10 miles of biking and 3.1 miles of running.
