Swimmer to Improve Lower Mac Pool for Eagle Scout Project

Robert Ross of Boy Scout Troop 131 received approval from Lower Macungie commissioners to upgrade a storage facility at the Lower Mac pool to keep swim team equipment safe.

A teen swimmer received approval from the Lower Macungie Township commissioners to upgrade a storage facility at the township pool as his Eagle Scout project.

At last week's commissioners meeting, Robert Ross of Boy Scout Troop 131 showed the board his plans to alter a storage facility so the Lazer swim team can keep equipment safe there. The township's Parks and Recreation Department will pay $485 for the improvements.

“It’s good to see young people come before us doing good, positive actions," said Roger C. Reis, president of the commissioners. “We need more of them.”
