1 Dead After Crash Shuts Down Route 422
A tractor trailer swung head-on into traffic early Friday morning, state police said.

LOWER PROVIDENCE, PA — One person was killed after a tractor trailer crash on Route 422 Friday morning that left the road shut down in both directions for hours.
The incident occurred at around 7 a.m. near the Trooper/Audubon exit.
It's not clear what caused the tractor trailer to lose control, but it crossed from the westbound lanes and over the median and slammed head-on into another vehicle heading east, Pennsylvania State Police said.

The driver of the vehicle that was hit head-on was pronounced dead at the scene.
It's not yet clear if there were other injuries.
