2-Alarm Fire Breaks Out At Lower Providence Home

Breaking: The home has been evacuated and crews have encountered "heavy flames" as a second alarm was called.

LOWER PROVIDENCE, PA — A second alarm was called as a heavy fire was battled at a home in Lower Providence.

The incident was first reported at around 1 p.m. on Vaux Lane near Valtine Lane, according to Montgomery County Active Incidents.

The home has been evacuated, authorities said.

The Lower Providence Township Fire Department is being assisted by units from several surrounding municipalities.

Aerial video from the scene showed the large plumes of smoke billowing over the home, which is located in a wooded area.
