Police are cracking down on aggressive drivers in the Collegeville area. "Please drive safely and slowly through our happy little borough."

COLLEGEVILLE, PA — Police are cracking down on aggressive drivers in the Collegeville area.
The enforcement will take place in places where speeders have been recently noticed, and where highly traveled adjacent roads bring in fast drivers.
"Please drive safely and slowly through our happy little borough," the department said in a statement on social media. "We really do not like writing tickets!"

Specifically, police noted E. Ninth Avenue as an area where speeding is common, as motorists use it as a cut-through from Route 29 to E. Main Street.
The speed limit is 25 miles per hour on most Collegeville borough roads.
