LOWER PROVIDENCE TOWNSHIP, PA — A Lower Providence man had dozens of videos and photos of pre-pubescent children engaging in sex acts, the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office said.
Albert Stroble, 48, of Lower Providence Township, faces numerous charges for possessing child sexual abuse material.
Authorities began investigating Stroble after they received a cybertip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children on Jan. 12.
The tip indicated a Dropbox account with child pornography, which police said they traced to Stroble after filing warrants with Dropbox, Verizon, and Google.
The videos included both pre-pubescent and pubescent girls being sexually abused by adults, the DA said.
In one of the videos, a girl who was about 8 years old had her wrists and legs restrained and a belt around her neck, police said.
Police obtained a warrant for Stroble's house and connected the online videos to his personal electronic devices.
Stroble was arrested on April 14 and arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Albert Levine. He was released on $300,000 bail with the condition that he have no unsupervised contact with children.
A preliminary hearing is set for April 28.
