Pawlings Road And Audubon Road Intersection Gets $326,000 In Funding

Infrastructure improvements are coming to Lower Providence.

LOWER PROVIDENCE, PA — Lower Providence Township has received hundreds of thousands of dollars in grants to improve a vital intersection.

The $326,449.40 in funding comes from the state's "Green Light-Go" program that aims to improve safety and reduce congestion on key roadways across the state.

The funds will go specifically to the Pawlings Road and Audubon Road intersection.

Crews will improve left turn phasing and detection, as well as pedestrian upgrades.

Nearby Upper Providence will receive $466,760 for similar improvements. Intersections there to be improved include Egypt Road and Route 8005 Ramp C and D, Egypt Road and Cider Mill Road, Ridge Pike and Township Line Road, Ridge Pike and Court Driveway, Collegeville Road and Arcola Road, Collegeville Road and Black Rock Road, Township Line Road and Linfield Trappe Road, and Township Line Road, S, Court Driveway, and S. Limerick Square Driveway.
